Job Overview

Provide technical security leadership over the enterprise computing environment which includes designing, engineering, configuring, maintaining and supporting enterprise secure software images for desktop, servers and mobile devices.  Develop innovative technology solutions to enhance and enable productivity for the organization. Cultivate and maintain in depth knowledge of current and emerging computer and information technologies to plan future direction, recommend appropriate implementation and support requirements for the enterprise computing and mobile environment balancing security and user functionality.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Evolve and maintain the enterprise computing and mobile images, including Gold Images
  • Responsible for managing the enterprise desktop mobility management solution which includes security, upgrades and support, such as Mac OS and Windows OS
  • Strengthen Endpoint security by deploying and managing the environment in collaboration with Information Security Team
  • Coordinate the distribution of systems or software that affects the computer and mobile enterprise 
  • Improve and maintain all aspects of computer auditing to develop an effective implementation strategy to support a secure desktop
  • Monitor enterprise security related applications to ensure consistent and continued protection of data on both the desktop and mobile environments
  • Manage problems/tasks/projects by taking ownership of them and working them through completion and/or by leading others toward the same goal
  • Deploy new and upgraded core desktop technologies images and manage enterprise-wide implementation
  • Analyzes, diagnoses and resolves complex hardware and software problems

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline and four (4) or more years technical experience supporting an enterprise computing environment; or equivalent combination of experience.
  • Possesses a professional industry recognized certification, such as
    • a Computing Technology Industry Association A+ Certification (CompTIA A+)
    • Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST)
    • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
  • Demonstrated experience in engineering, implementing and supporting enterprise computer hardware, software and mobile device configurations; and computer hardware and software installations and large-scale roll-outs.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with current Windows and MAC operating systems, Active Directory and McAfee antivirus required.
  • Experience with an enterprise mobility management solution (preferably IBM MaaS360) required.
  • Experience with computer operating system imaging, build, design deployment and lifecycle management.
  • Experience with the LANDesk product suite specifically LDMS application packaging and software distribution.
  • Experience with Powershell scripting a plus.
  • Knowledge of various aspects and components of security infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of asset management, computer management systems, functions and operations demonstrated by prior work experience.
  • Ability to lead a project including managing scope, schedule and risks. 
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment as demonstrated by prior work experience.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple projects at various stages of development using effective organization skills and attention to detail as demonstrated by prior work experience. 
  • Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate initiative, is conscientious, and provides complete follow-through on all areas of responsibility
